Meet Sara

Sugar Beach Co. is a concept I’ve always dreamed about; for long as I can remember I’ve wanted to “own a store.” This shop has had many shapes in my imagination, changing as I moved from college in Fairfield, Connecticut to my early adult life in Manhattan, and finally to the coastal suburbs of New Jersey.

I grew up in Montclair, NJ, a town a few minutes outside NYC. One of the early inspirations for my “shop” came from a beautiful store called The Banyan Tree. My mom would chat with the lovely owners while my sister and I browsed the cute cards, gorgeous candles, and fun ornaments.

During my 10 years living in New York my corporate career focused on marketing and media, most recently at NBC in ad-sales for Bravo and E! (I can talk reality TV all day long). I left corporate life to move to the ‘burbs with my husband and our growing family – Will and Colin (twins), and my daughter Shea.

I am passionate about shopping, beautiful style and design, advertising, branding, graphic design and, of course, reality TV.
